# All Materials

## Purpose of This Section <a href="#purpose-of-this-section" id="purpose-of-this-section"></a>

The All Materials section is designed to give you full visibility into the solarVis materials database, which contains more than **90,000 products**. This section is used to decide **which materials should be available** for your organization. No pricing or proposal settings are managed here; the focus is purely on discovery and activation.

Materials activated here automatically become available in the **Active Materials** section, where pricing and detailed settings are managed.

## What You Can Do Here <a href="#what-you-can-do-here" id="what-you-can-do-here"></a>

In the All Materials section, you can:

* Browse the entire solarVis materials database
* Search or filter materials by manufacturer, model name, or technical specifications
* Sort materials in the preferred order
* Review basic technical information in the **Material Details Modal** for each material after clicking on it.
* Activate materials for use in your projects
* Deactivate materials you no longer want to use

4. Sort materials to change their order
5. Use the search bar or filter by manufacturer, type, and power range to find a material
6. Review the material details
7. Enable the material using the activation toggle

Once enabled, the material automatically appears in the **Active Materials** section.

### Filter the Materials <a href="#filter-the-materials" id="filter-the-materials"></a>

The filter panel helps you quickly narrow down the materials list and find exactly what you’re looking for within the large solarVis database.

You can filter materials using:

* **Manufacturer**

  View products from one or more selected manufacturers.
* **Series**

  Limit results to specific product series offered by the manufacturer.
* **Type**

  Filter materials by technology or product type relevant to the selected category.
* **Power / Capacity Range**

  Refine results based on key performance values such as power output, capacity, or similar technical ranges, depending on the material type.

Filters can be combined to further narrow results. You can adjust or reset filters at any time without affecting activated materials.
