# Materials Page

## Purpose of This Page <a href="#purpose-of-this-page" id="purpose-of-this-page"></a>

The Materials page allows you to browse, activate, price, and manage all materials used across your projects. It ensures that only approved, correctly configured, and up-to-date materials are available during project design and proposal creation. By managing materials in one place, you maintain consistency in system design, pricing accuracy, and professional proposal output.

## What You Can Do Here <a href="#what-you-can-do-here" id="what-you-can-do-here"></a>

In this tab, you can:

* Browse more than **90,000 materials** available in the solarVis database
* Search & filter materials by manufacturer, model, or technical features
* Decide which materials are available for use in your projects
* Activate or deactivate materials at any time
* Set prices and select currencies for active materials
* Control how materials appear in customer proposals and financial calculations
* Request missing materials directly from solarVis (typically added within **2 business days**)

All changes made here are reflected automatically across your projects and proposals.

## Material Categories <a href="#material-categories" id="material-categories"></a>

The Materials page is organized into the following categories, representing the main components used in solar system designs:

* **Panel**
* **Inverter**
* **Battery**
* **Heat Pump**
* **Mounting**
* **Cables**
* **EV Charging Station**

Each category follows the same layout, logic, and management rules to ensure a consistent user experience.

## Page Structure <a href="#page-structure" id="page-structure"></a>

Within each material category, you will find three main sections that define how materials are managed:

### All Materials <a href="#all-materials" id="all-materials"></a>

View and explore the full solarVis material database and choose which materials to activate or deactivate

### Active Materials <a href="#active-materials" id="active-materials"></a>

Manage pricing, currency, visibility, and financial settings for enabled materials

### Request Materials <a href="#request-materials" id="request-materials"></a>

Submit a request for materials that are not currently available in the database

These sections work together to give you full control over which products are used in your projects and how they are presented to customers.

## Summary <a href="#summary" id="summary"></a>

The Materials page is the central place to manage your product database in solarVis. Use it to control availability, pricing, and presentation of all hardware components used in your projects. A well-maintained Materials page ensures accurate system designs, reliable financial calculations, and clear, professional proposals.
